Bio
Michelle F. Blair seeks to rigorously build insights and extend knowledge in public economics, in labor economics, and more broadly: in the economics of education. She primarily studies skill certification industries in countries historically stratified by race or other caste constructs.

Before pursuing her PhD, Michelle F. Blair was a lead researcher in the U.S. federal government for more than 10 years, overseeing one of the world's most respected educational testing programs: the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

Prior to her ongoing career as a researcher, she also served as a Florida public school teacher and as a central administrator for the largest school district in the United States: New York City.
Intertemporally, she travels the world whenever possible, and enjoys music and hiking.
